Obsession of the Day: ORLY Foil FX and Metal Chic Nail Polish Collections

We all know that all that glitters is not necessarily gold but I've recently discovered a nail hue that definitely comes close. Recently received and currently adored, I must tell you about ORLY's Foil FX and Metal Chic Polish Collections because you're really going to need them come spring.

Seen all over the runways for the Spring 2010 collections, metallic nails are pretty much all the rage from foil transfers to nail hues that mimic the gilded tones. These polishes copy the look of a metallic transfer in the ease of a thick, beautiful nail color. They're affordable and effective and I'm madly in love.

You have two options. You can full-on metallic glam with the Foil FX polishes in "Rage" ( metallic rose), "Shine" (metallic silver) or "Luxe" (metallic gold). Each has a foil finish that is impossibly glam and a must-have for nights out.

If you're not ready to go full-on glam, then the Metal Chic collection is for you. A set of matte hues with a slight metallic finish, it's a way to dip your finger in the trend (pun intended) without going too "bling-y." The Metal Chic collection comes in "Iron Butterfly" (metallic matte charcoal), "Solid Gold" (exactly what you think, a metallic matte gold) and "Glam Rock" (metallic matte copper).

More reasons they're my new obsession. All ORLY polishes are free of DB, Toluene, Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin. Even better? For those of you who have been wanting to try my beloved metallic foil nail transfer look without the somewhat expensive price, this polish is a fabulous solution: each polish is only $7.50. You can supercharge your look without breaking the bank.

ORLY nail polishes are available at ULTA, Sally's Beauty Supply and Ricky's nationwide. For these stores (and possibly others) check out their store finder, then add some gilded glamour to your nails this spring!

I'm really loving the Foil FX in "Shine"...it's the Recessionista's version of Minx. LOL. I'm not really into matte nail polish for me but I also like from the Metal Chic collection "Solid Gold". Might have to give them both a try.

Thanks for sharing!
