Travel in Style: Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas

I've decided to do a travel feature every Wednesday. As I plan my escape for later this year, I'm thinking only one destination will do: Vegas, baby.

When one plans an escape to a city with so much fabulousness you can see it from space, you have to give yourself options. Spa, nightlife, fabulous restaurants, pool, amazing customer service - these are the basic building blocks for a trip to Las Vegas. With $750 million in renovations and expansions, I'm placing my bets (and reservation) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.

At the end of this month, the hotel is officially opening Paradise Tower, another building on the property which will include 490 decadent guestrooms, 10 pool suites and an mega penthouse suite with floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree views of Las Vegas. This three-bedroom suite, complete with living room and lounge, is outfitted with platinum tile ceilings and walls, an outdoor hot tub, a private pool table, and state-of-the-art movie theater. In my dreams, I'm in the penthouse suite. Hey, this is Vegas, people: go big or go home.

Other fabulous additions? A brand new concert venue, The Rogue Joint; Carey Hart’s new tattoo shop, Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co.; and LA’s The Dolce Group’s new take on the Vegas steakhouse, Rare 120. This is on top of the fabulous Rock Spa, Health Club, Beach Club and swim-up-to-them gaming tables. Get relaxed and then go out big at their amazing restaurants or get wild at The Joint, Body English, Wasted Space or Rehab. Yeah, Mama needs a vacation and this sounds like just what the doctor ordered.

The hotel is running summer specials right this minute so book a room and get out to Vegas for a little R&R. Get nuts, get some sleep, get a tattoo - whatever you want to do is alright by me. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
