FSB Morning Juice: Madonna for Louis Vuitton, Forever 21 Goes to Court, Gucci Goes Mainstream?

Good morning! We’re running around Manhattan, getting the scoop on some of the hottest labels just for you but we wanted you to have your morning juice to get you through that morning meeting:

LV To Justify Her Love: Madonna has no intentions of taking a holiday, evidently: rumor has it the Material Mom will return as the face of Louis Vuitton’s fall 2009 campaign, shot by her favorite photographer, Steven Meisel. (The Cut)

Gucci Goes Mainstream? Frida Giannini, designer for Gucci, is evidently taking critic’s comments that her Spring 2009 collection earned comparisons to Zara and her Fall 2009 collection to Bebe in stride. In a recent conversation with The Times (UK), she stated, “I’m not criticised by all the world — it is a very small niche of people. And I will never change for them. I want to stay close to my thoughts. When someone wants to offend me by saying I’m copied by the high street — well, for me, it’s a huge compliment.” Tom Ford, what say you? (Fashionologie)

Please Approach The Bench: Forever 21 is going to trial after fashion line Trovata’s extensive legal claims that the chain copies its designs will finally be seen by a jury. (WWD)

The Smell of Success: Uma Thurman will follow Liv Tyler as the new face of Parfums Givenchy. Let us know your thoughts on this one. (PeopleStyleWatch)

FSB Quote of the Day: Diana Vreeland said once of style that it “helps you get up in the morning. It’s a way of life.”
