New York Fashion Week: Rachel Antonoff Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

Before The Show: After racing across the Williamsburg Bridge in a cab to make it to the presentation on time, I arrived at The Lafayette House in Manhattan's Bowery district to view the Rachel Antonoff Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. We were escorted into the historic venue and handed a program. Why, you ask? Rachel showed her collection as a murder mystery, with each model playing a role. By the time you finished walking through the house, you'd solved the crime! Absolute genius, people.

Overhead In the Crowd: Honestly, people were agog about this fabulous presentation. Most of us went through more than once!

The Collection: Rachel's collection matched the brilliance of the presentation. A very 40's noir-inspired collection with tweedy pants, pleated chiffon blouses and impeccable dresses for day and night. Very Greta Garbo. The looks in their entirety or as individual pieces would work well for the vintage lover and those who crave well-cut items alike.

Trend Spotting: Romantic dresses, vintage-inspired separates. Comfort food for the fashion lover.

Overall Impression: This collection and its presentation was absolutely fabulous. Planning some Rachel Antonoff purchases for fall.
