While we all recover from Fashion Week this weekend, I had actually been considering cleaning out my closet to donate some items when this little slice of heaven invite just arrived. Shoegasm is kicking off their partnership with relief organization Soles4Souls by hosting a Haitian cultural celebration tomorrow, Saturday, February 20th from 12pm-5pm at their Soho location.
The event will include live Haitian music featuring Tiga Jean-Baptiste, an exhibit by Haitian artist Igor Mecklembourg, and traditional Haitian food and drink courtesy of Chen Bakery. This is also a great opportunity to donate your gently used shoes for a good cause. Because even though the news has moved on, make no mistake: the suffering in Haiti is still incredible and there's much work to be done.
So come out to Shoegasm's Soho location and donate your shoes for a worthy cause.
