NYFW: Erin Wasson x RVCA Gives Us Cool Desert Chic for Spring 2010
All photos by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Mercedes-Benz
Set against almost post-apocalyptic desert images, model-turned-designer Erin Wasson's third collection for RVCA took us on a journey of glamour and grit. Drawing on her own surfer chic model wear, Wasson sent us straight from the catwalk into what appeared to be a trip to Burning Man. As live music from the Gang Gang Dance played at the top of the runway, models walked down the catwalk in dusty blue jeans, breastbone-buttoned dusters over denim cutoffs, khaki dresses and suede vests and heavy crosses from Erin's collaborative collection with the LowLuv.
These skinny, hipster-vibed clothes will surely be a hit with models and when the dust bowl of the catwalk settles, this collection will find a home in many a rocker-chic, SoCal hip wardrobe.
