Anyone who knows me is acutely aware that I practically live in jeans. Denim is one of the most versatile pieces in any woman's wardrobe and can truly make or break the right outfit. I have the same policy with denim that I have with shoes and handbags: buy the best you can afford and they'll not only last forever but always make you look like a million dollars. It's for this reason I have a particular soft spot for PRVCY Premium Denim. I was invited to the Fall/Holiday collection preview in their showroom and fell madly in love with more than a few pieces.
A little known fact about PRVCY jeans is the story behind the brand. The line was created and inspired by founder and CEO Carolyn Jones' own mother, Ms. Jean James, and her battle with breast cancer. The name PRVCY was inspired by Ms. James fight to have some privacy as she battled breast cancer in the hospital. Her life inspired her daughter to leave corporate America and found her own premium denim company and the "lifeline" design on the back pocket, represents "Faith", "Hope" and "Love". Ten percent of ALL sales of their products go to provide free mammograms for women around the country and to support breast cancer awareness. The company has donated several hundred thousand dollars to date. When you realize an entire company is silently working to do nothing but support the cause, it's something to respect and admire.
Now, onto my favorites! I'm crazy about the fabulous oversized slouchy t-shirt with the breast cancer ribbon (seen at top) as well as this fabulous tattoo design waffle knit tee. They're coming soon and I for one will be sporting both.
The denim as per usual is brilliant. I am obsessed (OBSESSED) with these crystal embellished pockets for holiday. Tastefully done but with just enough flash, I'll also be rocking these into the holiday season. The darker hues of denim work beautifully with fall's bright pops of color and the silhouettes of all their jeans from bootcut to skinny are extremely flattering. Well-constructed and meant to conform to your body, you buy these jeans tight and literally "wear them out."
