Editor’s Lust List: The Panama Hat
Warm weather is coming and pretty soon sun hats will come out to shade our faces from all that glows. It made its appearance last summer in the Sex and the City: The Movie, Madonna’s brought it back to Malawi while she battles her adoption case and now my desire to have it cannot be quieted: I must have a Panama hat for summer.
Make no mistake: I don’t mean a fedora. A fedora has a tighter brim, cute for those of you who want something jaunty. I’m talking a Panama: a wide brimmed, stolen-from-your-lover’s-closet deal that will quell a bad hair day and add just the right touch of menswear chic to any summer dress.
Since the hat shown in Sex and the City: The Movie is Hermes (and the manufacturer of Madonna’s hat is unknown), I’m going with the labels I love and can acquire. For basic beach, I need a hat that won’t make me cry if it gets crushed, like this cute Urban Outfitters Straw Panama ($38) but for more swank occasions I’m going with Eugenia Kim’s Brooke Panama Hat ($325.)
I doubt I’ll be hiding from the paparazzi but I’m pretty sure I’ll look way more chic in photographs this summer. Grab one of these hats and see what I mean.
For The Guys: Let's Talk March Madness and Those Magic Hands
Guys, we love our sports, we love our men and we love our sports-loving men. In honor of the men who love us (and the ones who want to do so), we’ve got a little contest that might just cause March Madness in your home or office.
Jack Black, a top man-friendly skincare line, is offering a little contest in celebration of all things college basketball. Click here to enter your top two picks and game-ending scores for the final NCAA Tournament match-up and if you win, you will automatically be entered in a drawing to win $500 worth of Jack Black products! The contest ends on April 3rd at 3 p.m. CST so what are you waiting for? Take it to the hoop!
Hey dude, by the way, when is the last time you threw on a little hand cream? Hey, we’re all for rough and rugged but caressing our soft skin with ragged cuticles and calloused hands is less than sexy. Ouch! Here’s a solution: slather on some Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer ($15) and smooth those jagged edges. Click the link above or head to Sephora to pick some up post-haste. After all, there’s nothing sexier than a man who knows how to take care of himself.

FSB Morning Juice: Rachel Zoe, Jason Wu, Versace and Miss Sixty
Good morning, people! We’re pretty excited about the week and all it holds. Who wouldn't be excited about a facial, shopping AND the promise of warm weather all in one week? Let’s get to it, shall we?
We Wanna Be Zoebots, Too! Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist and star of her own Bravo reality series, The Rachel Zoe Project, is designing an affordable clothing line. Rachel promises the line will be a full-range collection, featuring jewelry, bags and fragrance in addition to clothing. As fans of Rachel’s work, we’ll try not to “die” until the collection is released next year. (PeopleStyleWatch)
He Continues to Wu Us With Shoes: Jason Wu, the talented designer behind Michelle Obama’s gorgeous Inauguration gown, will debut shoes with his next season’s collection. We imagine they will be patterned after his already successful design aesthetic which, as Wu puts it, means they will be "designed for real women." We just cleaned our closets this weekend so we’ll reserve a parking space for the new shoes.
(British Elle)
Who Got To Tell-a Donatella? Versace profits plunged 30.7 percent this past year to 9 million euros, or $13.2 million. Can someone create a new awards show or something? This sounds serious. (WWD, sub req)
Miss Fifty-Five and a Half?: Italian line Miss Sixty has made a rather bold move to protect their sales in the embittered U.S. economy: they’re cutting the prices of their entire spring collection for American consumers. The newly lowered prices are somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-25% off and apply to their Miss Sixty, Killah and Energie lines sold in their U.S. stores. Only time will tell if these lower prices will be enough of a stimulus package for American consumers. (Denimology)

Friday Faux Pas: The Bikini Jean
We were minding our own business, getting ready for bikini season like everyone else when a friend of our sent this into our inbox. We honestly did a spit take (which, for the amount of money we spend on exotic teas is really a crime). In what is surely a sign of the Apocalypse, someone has combined a pair of jeans and a string bikini bottom. No, they are not two pieces: this is one pair of jeans, a pair of jeans so revealing that we know Victoria has no secrets. They come complete with what appear to be tiny crystal studs on the "bikini bottoms." We laughed, we cried and then decided to write about it.
Now, don’t get us wrong: we love a string bikini and we love a good pair of jeans. Hell, we’ve even been known to throw a pair of jeans over a bathing suit en route to the beach. But unlike the candy marriage of chocolate and peanut butter, these two things DO NOT go together as one item of fashion. There is no excuse to murder a perfectly good pair of jeans by cutting the waist to mimic a string bikini bottom. Whipping out a Bedazzler just adds insult to injury because, you know, the jeans don’t draw enough attention to your bikini wax that you should have draw ADDITIONAL attention to the area in case you missed it the first time. Here’s the worst part: we all know that the people who will actually purchase and wear this pair of “jeans” aren’t going to actually be the ones with the bodies to wear them. Just wait until the girls from Rock of Love get their hands on these jeans.
Let’s keep the genetic experiments in the labs, ok, people? Labradoodles are cute but the combination of a string bikini and a pair of jeans is not. Please put down the daiquiris before you design and cut.

MTV Fashion Flashback: En Vogue's Metallic Dresses
As the 90’s have come back with a vengeance (Boho chic! Babydoll dresses! Ripped denim!) there are some fun trends we remember fondly. When the video for En Vogue’s “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” came out, it was completely mesmerizing. The song is fierce, Matthew Rolston’s images never cease to amaze, but most of us became obsessed with the silver dresses the girl group wears in the video. Most of us went out immediately to purchase one of our own and this editor is proud to say I still have the slinky liquid silver-sequined number, although I did ditch the slightly clunky square-heeled shoes I wore with it the first time.
Metallic dresses are again all the rage for evening and they come as short and sassy as you dare. You have sexy options from this Alice + Olivia V-Neck Gathered Side Dress (on sale for $99) up to this effortlessly chic Gryphon The Sequined Dress ($595.) There are tons of options to add some shimmer to your spring nights. Put this video on when you’re getting ready and prepare to break some hearts. Your lovin’…yeah, we’ll see who gets it.

FSB Evening News: Topshop in NYC, Gwyneth and Elisabeth Design
Ah, where does the time go? Actually, where has the weather gone?!? It’s supposed to be spring and it’s cold and rainy outside. Comfort food weather right during bikini diet season is cruel and unusual punishment.
Topshop Is Almost Here! New Yorkers are salivating over Topshop opening its doors here in NYC one week from TODAY after much teasing. We’re publishing our shopping list here shortly so stay tuned. (The Cut)
An Estee-med Position: Estee Lauder finally has a CEO at the helm after 16 months of deliberation. A board vote on Wednesday elected Fabrizio Freda, the former COO of the company, as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1. Freda was the head of global snacks at Proctor and Gamble prior to joining Estee Lauder in 2007. Hey, marketing is marketing, we guess. (WWD, sub req.)
The View On Style? Not So Much: Elisabeth Hasselbeck launched her new clothing line for QVC on yesterday’s episode of The View. After a quick review of the collection, it’s safe to say we will do not share Elisabeth's view on style and fashion. (QVC)
Gwyneth Paltrow: Fashion Designer? Another celebrity has entered the fashion design ring: Gwyneth Paltrow is designing a capsule collection of tees and clothes. In partnership with French ZOEtee's, the fall 2009 capsule collection entitled "ZOEtee’s Loves Gwyneth" will consist of jersey basics and, according to British Elle, "some glam, 1970’s-inspired looks and pieces influenced by masculine tailoring." This we cannot wait to see. (British Elle)

FSB Morning Juice - Anne Hathaway, R.I.P. Mike and Chris, Tiffany's and Conde Nast Musical Chairs
Morning! We’re up, rooibos tea in hand, ready to get this party started. Here are the headlines for this morning:
The Devil Does Jazz Hands: Anne Hathaway is set to star in a biopic about the late, great Judy Garland. Wonder if the ruby slippers will be Prada? (Philly.com)
Retailer R.I.P.: Fabulous leather line Mike and Chris is no more. Somewhere, the Gossip Girl cast is probably crying. (eye4style)
A Lipstick Stimulus Package? In a sure sign of rough economic times, beauty sales were down 3 percent in 2008. Remember that old adage that even in the worst times a woman will still want to buy lipstick? Sounds like those days might be over. (WWD)
No More Breakfast at Tiffany's?: Tiffany and Co. reported extremely disappointing numbers in 2008, with a near disastrous net income drop of 76 percent with total sales dropping 20 percent worldwide in the fourth quarter alone. Evidently, in this economy those who had the "Return to Tiffany’s" items actually did just that. (Luxist)
Conde Nast Musical Chairs: Ingrid Sichy and Sandra Brant are now the new Editors-In-Chief of German Vogue and Russian Vogue, respectively. Carine Roitfeld remains fabulously at the helm of French Vogue and Anna Wintour is still firmly entrenched at American Vogue, so in our eyes all is right with the world. (Fashion Week Daily)

FSB Friday News: House of Style, Loomstate, JT Brings Sexy Back to Happy Hour
We’re really busy here getting ready for a big launch of content next week so hang in there with us! We couldn’t let you slide into your weekend without some fun news, so here is your Friday newscast:
We Want Our Style TV! For those of us who were addicted to MTV’s House of Style in the 90’s, good news: the show is back! Hosted by models Chanel Iman and Bar Refaeli, the phoenix rises from the ashes this Saturday at 3 pm EDT. Set your DVRs. (MTV Buzzworthy)
Target Gets Eco-Chic: Loomstate, the earth-friendly fashion line by Rogan Gregory and Scott Mackinlay Hahn, will launch a limited edition collection for Target set to launch in stores on April 12th. (PeopleStyleWatch)
Seeing Red: Bored with your hair color? Vogue predicts that redheads will be the next big hair color trend. Just be sure to adjust your makeup accordingly. (Style.com)
Red, Red Wine: Antonio Banderas has decided to enter the wine business, acquiring 50% of the Bodega Anta Natura vineyard in the town of Burgos Villalba de Duero. He will be renaming it Anta Banderas. Expect extremely sexy wines to follow. (Luxist)
Did Someone Say Happy Hour? Justin Timberlake, not to be outdone, has decided a clothing line and restaurants aren’t enough. The multimedia mogul is launching his own brand of tequila. Named 901 after the area code for his hometown of Memphis, the liquor is expected to hit stores in May. Sexy should be back immediately afterwards. (Luxist)

FSB Morning Juice: The Photoshop Diet, Hermes and Marc Jacobs Possibly Engaged
We're taking it easy this morning. Masque firmly in place, sipping green tea and eating plenty of citrus to clean out our system, we’re digging straight into the headlines.
Vogue Photoshop Diet Strikes Again: Well, it appears that British singing sensation Adele has been placed on the Vogue Photoshop/twisty pose diet. The beautiful and voluptuous singer looks way slimmer in this photo than normal. Perhaps if we stopped all the images that make us hate ourselves so much we wouldn’t feel compelled to abuse ourselves with food? Just a thought. (The Cut)
Luxury Is Not Dead: Hermes, the luxury good retailer, boasted a 0.8 net increase in profits this quarter, despite decelerated profits in 2008. The retailer cited “steady sales” as the cause for the increase. Maybe this is further proof of a return to investment in quality over quantity. (WWD, sub. req)
A Marc Jacobs Wedding: The designer is reportedly engaged! Marc and boyfriend Lorenzo Martone are supposed to debut their rings in Martone’s native Brazil as part of a celebration of the Marc Jacobs multibrand store that opened there in January. If this is true, congratulations! (WWD)

FSB Morning Juice: Carine Roitfeld, Valentino and How To Be A Social Diva
It’s all fashion and style all the time today. Between television and film, it should prove to be quite the red letter day when it comes to style media!
Carine Roitfeld on CNN:Revealed Today! As we’ve been practically hyperventilating about this, we can finally breathe because today is the day! Carine Roitfeld, fashion icon and editor-in-chief of French Vogue, will be featured on CNN: Revealed. You can watch it on CNN tonight or you can hit this link and watch all/most of the episode via web. You know, like we just did.
Valentino Movie Opens: Today is also the release of the documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor. We already have our ticket for tonight’s feature here in New York but the movie will be opening in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles shortly. For a schedule, click here.
Be More Social, Divas: Not dreaming life as fabulously as you think you should? Peg Samuel, the founder of Social Diva and maven of all things fabulous has written a book called How to Be a Social Diva: An Essential Guide For The Girl About Town. She’ll be on E! News talking about it tonight so set your DVRs for 7:00 or 11 p.m ET. Then go to to your computer post-haste and buy the book.

FSB Morning Juice: Vogue, more Vogue, Clive Owen and CFDA Awards
Morning, everyone! We’re working from the satellite office this morning, pondering all things Vogue magazine while our tea cools.
Cover Trends: Have you seen the new cover of Vogue, btw? Beyonce is on the cover, looking gorgeous as per usual. Interesting note: this makes two African-American women in a row on the cover of the legendary magazine. Coincidence? (The Cut)
We Heart Carine Roitfeld: Speaking of Vogue, Carine Roitfeld is denying rumors of taking the helm from Anna Wintour again, saying, "I'm very happy at French Vogue to be able to do everything -- almost everything -- I want in the magazine. It would be too political at American Vogue for me. And I'm not sure I'm talking enough good English to work there." While Carine was charming as usual, the CNN writer mentioned Anna’s age in the article. We’re sure this will be handled accordingly. Be sure to check out Carine on CNN: Revealed tomorrow. (CNN)
Daily Male Call: Clive Owen was dressed by Giorgio Armani and two-time Academy Award-winning costume designer Albert in his forthcoming romantic spy picture, Duplicity, out March 20th. Take a moment to reflect on that: Clive Owen in Armani. Le mew, le purrrr…Oh yeah, and Julia Roberts co-stars. (PeopleStyleWatch)
And the CFDA Goes To: CFDA nominees were announced. Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez and Rodarte are all nominated for Womenswear Designer of the Year. Michelle Obama will be honored with the coveted Board of Director’s Special Tribute and Anna Sui will be given the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. The awards will be handed out on June 15th. (WWD)

Celebrity Designer: The Fergie Shoe Collection
We here at FSB admit we love Fergie. The pint-size powerhouse’s fashion sense has evolved over the years along with her music and she’s really hit her stride when it comes to refining her eclectic look. When we recently discovered the musician had designed a shoe collection, we had to get a peek at the new styles and the verdict is in: approved!
The styles are wearable and relevant without being super-trendy and are just the right punch to spring’s bohemian 90’s renaissance. Our picks from the collection are the Reem, a cute sandal in a gorgeous pop of lipstick red ($69) and the Guno, a woven leather number that has a very retro vibe to it, great for a maxi dress or denim ($129.)
A shoe line that partners affordability with styles we can rock for Spring? Fergalicious, indeed.

FSB Lunch Buzz: Neiman Marcus, Rihanna and a Catwalking Robot
While you contemplate carbs or no carbs for lunch, we’re mulling over what’s new and noteworthy this afternoon:
Good Spokesmodel Gone Bad? Cover Girl is currently conducting a poll of customers to see if Rihanna is still a viable spokeswoman for the brand. Executives fear that consumers' attitudes toward the singer are less than favorable after her decision to stay with Chris Brown following the alleged assault. (The Cut)
ANTM Casting Meltdown: Auditions for the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model ended in a riot and injuries this past weekend. The casting call for potential models under 5’7 broke out in pandemonium after a fight broke out and a car fire sparked mass hysteria of a bomb scare. If this is how the casting went, think about what will happen when these women actually get on screen! (E! Online)
Need for Markdowns? Neiman Marcus posted a $509.3 million net loss due to writedowns of more than half a billion. The retailer said it would make some adjustments, return merchandise. Wow. (WWD, sub. req)
The Rise of The Fembot Model: Japanese technologists have created a catwalk robot that will be walking the runway at Tokyo fashion week. At only 5’2, something tells me that even Kate Moss isn’t exactly nervous about this. (Telegraph UK)

FSB Lunch Buzz: Heathers, Celine and American Apparel saved
“My teen angst now has a body count!” The original mean girls are coming to Broadway. Yes, we are happy to announce Heathers: The Musical is on its way. (The Frisky)
Phoebe Philo, the previous wunderkind designer of Chloe, will actually premiere her first collection for Celine as resort 2009, which is earlier than her planned spring 2010 October runway show. We love Phoebe so this is great news! (British Vogue)
American Apparel just sold a major $80 million stake to London-based private equity firm Lion Capital. Evidently the chain was dangerously close to folding. Looks like hipsters will be awash in cotton staples for a least a little while longer. (The Cut)

Beauty Vault: Jaclyn Smith for Epris
Anyone who grew up in the 70’s remembers the launch of glamorous, sexy ads for fragrances as we moved into the “Me” generation of the ‘80s. As a little girl and a huge fan of Charlie’s Angels, Jaclyn Smith has always been one of my favorites and is still a raving beauty to this day. For today’s look into the beauty vault, FSB presents this advertisement featuring Jaclyn in an ad for Max Factor’s Epris perfume, originally shown in 1981. Please do enjoy.
FSB Morning Juice: J.Crew, Valentino, Chanel and Katie Holmes' Extensions
Welcome to Hump Day. In honor of the sweet anticipation of the week’s end, we here at FSB declare Wednesdays Guilt-Free Wednesdays. That’s right. Drool over that gorgeous handbag. Try on that gorgeous pair of shoes. Aspiration and desire is what makes the world go ‘round! Here’s the news of the morning:
Despite posting a Q4 loss, J.Crew still sees room for expansion. Now THAT’S optimism, people! (WWD, subscription req.)
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccoli, the new designers for the house of Valentino, left the crowd underwhelmed with the simplified clothes they sent down the runway. Critics were more impressed with the venue than the collection. Ouch. (The Cut)
Karl Lagerfeld sent very ladylike, slightly prim clothes down the runway at Chanel. Feminine, girlie pinks offset an almost entirely black palette with high collars. Very Mary Poppins with a splash of schoolgirl thrown in. A spoonful of sugar should help the credit card charge go down. (NY Times)
Katie Holmes arrived at the Valkyrie premiere in Tokyo with long extensions under her signature short bob. Love it or hate it? (PeopleStyleWatch)

Give Your Home A Modern Dose
When Robert Verdi invites you to his Luxe Lab for an event, you go. The tastemaker and I became connected via Shefinds and through him I was introduced to lovely Estela Lugo and her interior design company, Modern Dose. Estela started Modern Dose as an answer to extremely overpriced modern design and curates the collection herself. Featured in O: At Home and Blush, the collection is beautiful modern design that mixes fun and function elegantly. Here are some personal favorites for Spring:
Elegance in your surroundings is important. These Pierced Porcelain Lanterns ($79.95) are a gorgeous way to add seductive lighting to a room.
Can’t replace the couch? The Hummingbird Pillow ($49) is a cute and comfortable solution to stop you from staring at it with such disdain.
These Shadow Table Shelves ($295) are the perfect answer for a narrow hallway. If you live in a big city apartment with a narrow entry way and want a place to put your keys, problem solved!
Decorative mirrors combine art and function in a home. Personally, I’m obsessed with the Silver Wood Mirror ($449).
Sometimes in a tight economy, it’s hard to justify going out and spending money. What better time to consider beautifying your home? With free shipping and a wide selection, it might be just the right time to consider giving your home décor a little upgrade. Head to moderndose.com and inject a little style into your nest.
FSB Morning Juice: Carine Roitfeld, Gossip Girl and Lindsay Lohan Wants to Tan Your Hide
Carine Roitfeld on CNN: One of the world’s most stylish women (and a personal favorite of yours truly,) Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld, will be featured on CNN Revealed as cameras follow her backstage during her travels at multiple fashion weeks. Set your DVRs to stunning on March 18th at 4:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. EDT. Teaser is above. (BryanBoy)
Gossip Girl Hanky Throwing: Ladies throw themselves at Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, sure. But would you pen a dirty missive on a napkin and then throw it at the star while he’s dining with his family? (I’m Not Obsessed)
More Bad Economic News: Liz Claiborne Inc. is expecting further “meaningful” losses for the first half of 2009 after posting a Q4 2008 loss of $828.9 million, mainly due to a goodwill writedown. We love Isaac Mizrahi as much as anyone but those numbers would be daunting to even the most talented Creative Director. (WWD, subscription req.)
Lindsay Wants To Tan Your Hide: Further proof that the celebrity hype machine shows no sign of slowing, Lindsay Lohan is launching a line of self-tanner called Sevin Nyne. The spray contains no chemicals, includes ingredients such as caramel, Chardonnay extracts and gogi berry and lasts for four to five days. Skin treatment or Pinkberry topping? You decide. (The Cut)

You Need This: Schick Quattro for Women Trim Style Razor
Ok, how do we put this delicately? Spring is coming as we’ve said and honestly, well, things probably need tidying up in your lower hemisphere. We’re not saying that you haven’t taken care of the situation but just in case you spent all winter hibernating in every way, bikini season is fast approaching and it’s time to start managing that "situation." Luckily, a new little gem has come along to help you.
The Schick Quattro for Women Trim Style is an upgrade on the original model: fabulous close-shaving disposable razor on one side and a – wait for it – AAA battery-operated bikini trimmer on the other. Yes, this little waterproof gem takes care of both aspects of bikini line grooming in one little shot. No more worries about scissor-related, emergency room horror stories anymore!
This little gem retails at most local mass market drugstores and grocery retailers, including Target, Walgreen's, CVS, Rite Aid and Kroger and it's coming soon to Amazon.com. Go grab this for your grooming regimen.
Slight warning: with the buzzing noise, we’re not sure you want to take this to the gym or a public showering area. We’re just saying.

FSB Manic Monday Lunch Buzz
Ah Manic Monday! Since the time change had us all screwed up this morning, here is the lunch buzz to help you work through that salad (or burger and fries, we don’t judge) at your desk:
Pour One Out For Style: Today is the unfortunate anniversary of the death of rapper Notorious B.I.G (nee Christopher Wallace.) Biggie had a huge impact on the world of music and style. In honor of this, we’re supplying a little music video for your afternoon.
Oprah Schools Rihanna: Oprah Winfrey broke her silence and weighed in on the Rihanna situation this past Friday on her show. We hope this story ends soon so we can go back to admiring Rihanna’s killer style instead of worrying about her safety. (YourTango)
Lip Lip Hooray!: M.A.C. launched Viva Glam VI lipstick last week with spokeswoman Fergie hitting the HIV/AIDS charity Project Angel Food before heading to M.A.C.’s South Robertson store launch party. The gorgeous shade will be available next week on March 16th. (BeautyBloggingJunkie)
Valentino and Martha Heat Up Daytime: Valentino will be a guest on The Martha Stewart Show to promote his new documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor. The episode will air on March 20th. We, of course, will be watching. (The Cut)

With news of Michael Jackson suddenly deciding to play concerts again in London (someone’s got to pay for the oxygen chamber) it’s appears that military style jackets might be making an interesting comeback in honor of The Gloved One (see Spears, Britney). Seen on the walking the streets of my beloved New York City as well as in past collections for Balmain and Diesel, marching band geek has gone major chic. You don’t need to go full-on military to capture the trend: just be sure the rest of your look is elegant and make the jacket the focus: a simple pairing with a skirt, jeans or pants will do. Here’s how to get in on the trend:
Cash: This Alvin Valley black stretch poly 'Belly' military jacket is a cute option with the new ripped denim trend or a sleek pair of black pants and a tee. It retails for $166.99 from Bluefly.com.
Credit: This American Retro Stewart Military Style Jacket has timeless styling and can be worn through this season and stored for next fall. It retails for $253.00 at Goldwyn.com
This little trend is proof positive you don’t need 76 trombones and a big parade. Sometimes you just have to use a little embellishment to show ‘em who’s boss.
FSB Morning Juice: Gossip Girl, Can Coffee Save Your Skin and Watchmen
Gossip Girl star Matthew Settle welcomed a baby girl, Aven Angelica, on Thursday with his wife Naama Nativ. On the flip side, his on-screen love Kelly Rutherford is expecting a baby girl with her estranged husband, Daniel Giersch. What would Lily and Rufus do? Not sure but wait for it: Gossip Girl returns to the CW with more ill-behaved rich kid goodness on March 16th. (source: Us Magazine)
Net-a-Porter, the luxury retailer, is launching a discount site that will cover a seasonless collection of fashion. Called theOutlet.com, the site will launch next month. I will be ready in pajamas with a credit card and copious amounts of coffee. (source: WWD)
Intuition, the clever LA boutique with the gorgeous clothes and accessories (and a personal favorite of yours truly), is branching out. Owner and celebrity stylist Jaye Hersh will launch a capsule collection called Hollywood Intuition for Target in July 2009. Until then, get thee to ShopIntuition.com to benefit from Jaye’s brilliance. (source: PeopleStyleWatch)
Can coffee fight skin cancer? Allure’s Beauty Reporter seems to have some evidence that it might so by all means have another cup. Just don't stop wearing sunscreen. See, this is news we can USE, people! (source: Allure.com)
Oh, and in case you didn’t know, Watchmen comes out today in the movie theatres. For those who are no doubt rabid with anticipation of this film, coverage of Watchmen star Malin Akerman coming later on FSB. (source: Variety)

Bikini Season Is Calling. Answer With Tracy Anderson Method.
Ah, Spring is springing and that can only mean one thing: bathing suit season is coming!!! The thought of showing enough skin to basically qualify someone to shake hands with your gynecologist is a daunting task for even the most hearty of gym enthusiasts. Where is a celebrity trainer when you need one? Ah, problem solved: Tracy Anderson Method to the rescue.
Tracy Anderson, for those who are as of yet unaware, is the celebrity trainer that sculpts and perfects the bodies of Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. A petite, pocket-sized little powerhouse, she sculpts and perfects long, lean muscle with a mixture of old school dance aerobics with strength and resistance training that builds up smaller muscles that in turn pull in larger muscle groups, resulting in a long, lean but strong physique (see: Paltrow, Gwyneth). If you live in the NYC area, Tracy is in the process of opening a location here in Spring 2009 and membership information can be gained via her site.
If you don’t live anywhere near New York or Los Angeles and you want to get Gwyneth or Madonna hot, bring the burn to your house with the Tracy Anderson Method DVD collection. I can personally vouch that in three weeks of the Mat Workout DVD ($29.99) and the Dance Cardio Workout DVD ($29.99) I saw measurable results and was able to get into a slinky cocktail dress for a romantic getaway. Proof enough for you?
And here you thought it was going to be impossible for a celebrity trainer to come to your house. Keep it tuned here to fashion.style.beauty. We’ll bring all the good stuff home to you!

Runway to Reality: Rodney Cutler Gives Us Down, Dirty and Pretty
As some of you may know, I also contribute to a site called Shefinds.com, which is one of the top shopping sites out there. As part of this job, I was lucky enough to go backstage at Tadashi Shoji’s show during New York Fashion Week. Backstage is just as fun and hectic as you might think it is: the models are extremely tall and very quiet, hair and makeup people descend upon them the minute they enter the room, hilarity ensues. I seem to remember a story that Linda Evangelista used to have the “four hands” rule, which is that no more than four hands could be on her at any given time. Ah, Linda, how I love you.
The hair look at Tadashi was crafted by hair guru Rodney Cutler and his team. The look for the show was very smooth hair pulled back into a low, rough twisted bun at the nape of the neck, giving the rear view a cheeky twist on the polished front. Throw a headband over the look and you’re good to leave the house! For those of us who are too busy to live, this style is easily translatable to your everyday life.
Cutler Salons has two convenient locations here in Manhattan: Midtown West and Soho but if you’re a beach bunny and your hair needs some lovin’, there’s also a convenient location in South Beach, Miami. After just receiving the haircut of my life at Cutler Midtown (which I will cover in a future post,) I feel it is safe to say if you’re going to spend your hard earned coin on some fabulous hair, Cutler is more than worth the money, honey.
